The founder

26 years building the Gulf's roads

Alkasem Wardeh founded K77 Group in Abu Dhabi after a career delivering some of the emirate's landmark infrastructure, from airport service roads to museum access tunnels. The Innovation Lab exists because he has seen, at street level, what heavy infrastructure costs a city.

  • New Abu Dhabi Airport service roads, polymer and coloured asphalt
  • Louvre Abu Dhabi service roads and underwater access tunnel
  • Al Maryah Island bridges
  • Yas Island Development Zone K: roads, utilities, stormwater, potable water
  • Sheikh Zayed Road, Airport Road and Yas Island maintenance
  • 500,000+ tonnes of asphalt produced in 7 months

Engineering by reduction

Every piece of infrastructure a city does not build is money, land and years given back to its people.
