Urban transit without the heavy parts
METRAM is an autonomous urban transit pod system designed to run on existing street lanes. No bridges, no tunnels, no stations. Feeder pods dock to the moving vehicle so passengers board and alight while the system keeps moving.
Design principles
Reduction first
Every element that can be removed is removed. The street that exists is the infrastructure.
Never stopping
The main vehicle holds a constant speed. Movement is the service.
Moving boarding
Small feeder pods bring passengers to the vehicle and take them off it, in motion.
City scale, street grain
Capacity comes from frequency and coordination, not from size and concrete.
Use cases
Urban commute
A predictable, seated ride across the city on existing lanes.
Smart parcel delivery
Cargo feeder pods use the same moving network off peak.
Food delivery
Hot food moves on scheduled feeder pods, not on scooters in traffic.
